Keepin' It Real
Alright, a very advanced blogger and wonderful fellow homeschooler has created "Keepin it Real". Life is REALly not a fairy tale and REALly hilarious (usually at our own expense). Check out her latest topic "New Stupid Mom Moments" here:
All day I've tried to remember some great stupid new mom moments, but I think many of them were mentally blocked. So here is a brief review of the insanity.
1. Every night, any item that was related to the baby in any way was boiled in a big pot. You've got to sanitize people!
2. Going to the store or running away from home? Hard to tell when you can't leave home without AT LEAST these items: diapers (6), wipes, change of clothes, soapy-type wipes (you never know when you may need an emergency bath), lotion (for after emergency bath), burp towels (2), diaper cream, first-aid items and toys (that one-month old might get board if she happens to be awake). If air travel was necessary, our first diaper bag would not have made it as a carry-on.
3. Nervous about going out alone with your new baby? Trying to eat healthy and lose that baby weight? Well, for a minimum purchase of $20, Jason's Deli will deliver. So go ahead, order yourself four sandwiches and watch the fat melt away.
4. And the stupidest of all...........not taking a nap every time time baby fell asleep. That option is only available with the first one.

Water Day '08
Here are some water day highlights.
Look what the tide brought in.
Watch out MJ, we have one fierce moonwalker.
Each time you get a balloon, it's like the first time you got a balloon.
At this point, there has been no contact between the body and slide since he jumped.

I'm Impressed (doesn't take much)
Lauren started piano in September and last week she came home with this and worked through it herself. She can read music! I'm sure it's standard but, it's easy for me to be impressed.
My favorite art for the week

And...a dog
Other Oddities
I guess you can sleep easy with this guy watching your back!
Earlier that night we found T-Rex in bed covered with a blanket and Jeremy playing with toys. Not the best replacement, but I was impressed with the effort.
Lauren
I didn't have many pictures of Lauren, more to come.
Science experiment...The Foaming Monster
vinegar, baking soda and soap mixed in a jar decorated like monster
FYI...this combination will kill your grass
(I know no one cares, but this is one of my big things....those are shorts under the dress)

The New Camera
First...there is actually another post after this. I am in catch up mode. Here are some neat things about the new camera we got (that I've figured out).
The accent color: everything is black and white except one color.
This one is fun. For action pictures, you hold down the shutter and it keeps taking pictures so you don't miss a thing.
One more thing...
In keeping with our traditional upbringing we now offer...
TETHERBALL!!!!!!
